How long is the course?
The Certificate is work-based and is designed to reflect the skills and knowledge of people who work in supportive roles in healthcare. .The qualification is taken over 9 months depending on individual need.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
How will I learn?
You are usually employed for at least 16 hours per week. To gain this qualification, you need to show you have a particular set of skills. You will work with your assessor to identify your current skills and find the best way to gain new skills.
You will also:
- Receive tuition to support the underpinning knowledge required for your qualification
- Have the opportunity to work towards additional qualifications relevant to your employment
- Receive regular monitoring and assessment
What will I study?
Certificate in Healthcare Support Services L2
To achieve this qualification, learners must achieve a minimum of 26 credits for a level 2. You will achieve 14 credits from mandatory units and a further 12 credits from optional units of your choice. Units are made up of knowledge and competence skills.
How will I be assessed?
The Certificate is assessed on practical aptitude, a portfolio of work and external assessment.
What opportunities will this lead to?
Progression from Level 2 to Level 3.
