This course is aimed at those who, as part of their working duties, are involved in the erection, dismantling and use of mobile access towers.

What qualification will I achieve?

PASMA Standard Certificate.

How long is the course?

The course is typically delivered over 1 day.

How will I learn?

The aim of the training is to provide candidates with the necessary information to safely erect, use, inspect and dismantle aluminium or fibreglass mobile access towers.

As the instruction may be carried out on site, the client’s site regulations/requirements must be adhered to . PPE must be worn at all times.

What subjects will I study?
The course covers the following topics:

• Health & Safety legislation and regulations
• PASMA Code of Practice
• Safe working at heights
• Identifying mobile access tower equipment
• Manufacturers Instruction Manuals
• Ground and site conditions
• Sequence of erecting and dismantling mobile access towers
• Use of stabilizers, outriggers, sole pads and ties
• Moving and repositioning erected towers
• Inspection report procedure
• Advanced Guardrails and 3T (Through The Trap) erection
• Practical erection, moving, inspection and dismantling

How will I be assessed?

Multi choice test paper.
