IT User Skills Level 3 ITQ Certificate (College-based Delivery)
This is a qualification that is suitable for candidates who have previously completed IT training at level 2 (for example ECDL or equivalent) or who have experience of using IT facilities and packages. This is likely to involve a diverse range of functions, tasks and activities that are constantly developing and changing.

Level 3 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills
How long is the course?
In order to achieve the Level 3 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills you will need to achieve at least 25 credits. It will normally take approximately 6 months to achieve the certificate through the college delivery mode. The qualification can also be achieved via workplace assessment or a combination of both.
What are the entry requirements?
It is recommended that you have previously achieved a level 2 ICT qualification such as ECDL Extra or equivalent or have experience of the use of IT facilities and packages.
How will I learn?
This qualification is competence-based, linking a person’s ability to competently perform a range of IT tasks. This means that a person’s skills, knowledge and competence are assessed in a practical way.
What subjects will I study?
You will need to achieve a total of 25 credits to achieve the qualification. There are a number of units you will be required to complete. Below is a list of the units:
- Improving Productivity Using IT
- Using Email
- Word Processing Software
- Spreadsheet Software
- Presentation Software
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed on your ability to competently perform a range of tasks. This will include your knowledge and understanding of the units and the evidence you provide to identify your performance.
What opportunities will this lead to?
Foundation Degree in ICT.
Are there any additional costs?
Stationery, (folders, pens etc),
