Professional Reception Skills
This Professional Reception Skills course is designed to help front office staff develop their skills further by recognizing the importance of first impressions, attitudes and behaviour; projecting a professional image; developing/refreshing telephone skills; and handling difficult people/situations with tact and diplomacy.

A Furness College Certificate of Attendance.
How long is the course?
One day.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal educational requirements but a good standard of literacy is required so that participants can participate fully in group discussions.
How will I learn?
Through workshops and discussions.

- Role of the Receptionist
- First impressions
- You and your customers
- Projecting yourself - voice, appearance, body language
- Communicating effectively face-to-face
- Telephone handling skills
- Dealing with difficult situations/people
- Personal action planning

There are no formal assessment procedures.
