These short, programs form part of our IT training suite. Courses are available at a range levels to suit new, experienced and advanced users in the use of PowerPoint.

What qualification will I achieve?

Delegates will receive a college certificate of attendance demonstrating that they have received the relevant training.

How long is the course?

These programmes range between 2 and 4 hours and are typically delivered in one afternoon or evening session.
 
What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements.  This course is intended for those who are new to Excel or who have a limited working knowledge of the application.

How will I learn?

This course is based around demonstration and practical work to provide hands on experience.

What subjects will I study?

The courses are offered at 3 levels including the following;

Introduction to PowerPoint
Create a presentation consisting of 4 slides
Use and apply existing design templates
Use and apply 2 slide formats
Format text using appropriate tools
Insert and re-size an image
Learn to spell check the presentation
View the presentation

PowerPoint for Everyday Users
Create a presentation consisting of 6 slides
Select and apply appropriate side layout and designs
Insert images, and tables
View and re-order slides
Add in speaker notes
Apply animation and slide transition effects

PowerPoint for Advanced Users
Create a presentation consisting of 10 slides
Insert 1 table and 1 chart
Use Smartart
Arrange and group objects
Apply sound to slides
Hide slides and use speaker notes
Create hyperlinks to external applications
Save the presentation in show format

Spice up Your PowerPoint
This 2-hour workshop demonstrates how to add animation, sounds, graphics, images and backgrounds to your presentation to keep your audience enthralled.

MS 2010; The Changes (Excel or PowerPoint or Word or Access)
These short, 2-hour programs which form part of our IT training suite highlight the main changes between MS 2007 and 2010 in Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint; ensuring a smooth upgrade.

How will I be assessed?

Through completion of practical exercises and tasks.

Are there any additional costs?

There are no additional costs, the quoted fee includes all relevant registration, exam fees and course book(s).
