PLEASE NOTE
From Monday 14th June there will be NO parking on campus for students, staff or visitors (except for disabled parking), due to the work taking place at Furness College for the new build.

Disabled Parking
Spaces for disabled parking will still be available on the campus and are located at the rear of the Viewpoint building and the rear of the main Reception building. 

Deliveries and Emergency Vehicles
There will still be access for deliveries and emergency vehicles onto the Furness College campus. This access will be strictly controlled by Eric Wright Construction.

Alternative Parking
Three alternative Furness College car parks are found on Ashburner Way, Bessemer Way and James Freel Close.

Directions to Ashburner Way Car Park
Route from M6 (Junction 36) to Furness College. From exit 36 on the M6 take the A590
and follow signs to Barrow-in-Furness.
Continue on the A590 all the way to Barrow-in-Furness.
Upon reaching Barrow, continue until you pass ASDA on the left-hand side. Shortly after Asda you enter a one-way system.
Continue until you come to a right turn into Ashburner Way (this has a two-way road system). You will now see the college in front of you. At the end of Ashburner Way,on the right hand side (before the traffic lights), is the new Ashburner Way Car Park. If this car park is full continue to the James Freel Car Park.

Directions to Bessemer Way Car Park
Shortly after Asda you enter a one-way system. Continue until you come to a right turn into Ashburner Way. You will now see the college in front of you. At the end of Ashburner Way, turn right into Iron Works Road and then first left into Bessemer Way. You cannot turn left into the Furness College campus, but you can turn right into the new car park which is situated in front of the new construction workshops.

Directions to James Freel Car Park
From Ashburner Way turn right at the traffic lights on to Iron Works Road (a one-way system) and stay in the left hand lane. Go past the turning into Bessemer Way and take the next road on the left further along, into James Freel Close. The car park is located at the bottom of this road on the left hand side.

Footpaths to Furness College from James Freel Car Park
There are two alternative footpath access routes from the car park to the College Campus. One is via the "coastal route" along the side of the channel and the other is via the footpath behind the car park and between existing buildings. Please note if you choose to use the latter then the end of the route on Bessemer Way will be very busy with construction activity and traffic so please take extra care when crossing the road.

This new car park will be lit in the evenings and signage provided.
